Proceeds from Busch’s Helmet and Replicas to Benefit KBF’s Bundle of Joy Fund

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – (April 20, 2017) In support of National Infertility Awareness Week, NASCAR driver Kyle Busch will wear a specially-designed helmet in the Monster Energy Cup Series race at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway on Sunday, April 23. The helmet will feature the Kyle Busch Foundation’s (KBF) Bundle of Joy Fund and photos of Busch’s family, including his wife Samantha and son Brexton.

Following the race, Busch will auction off his race-worn helmet and replica mini-helmets will be available in the coming months with all proceeds benefiting the Bundle of Joy Fund. Busch’s race helmet will go on sale Monday, April 24 at 10 a.m. (ET) on KBF’s eBay site http://www.ebay.com/usr/kylebuschfoundation and end Saturday night, April 29.

Infertility affects 7.4 million people, and one in eight couples have trouble getting pregnant, or sustaining a pregnancy. The Busch family started the fund through the Kyle Busch Foundation in 2015 following the birth of their son, Brexton. After struggling with infertility issues themselves and completing successful treatments at Reproductive Endocrinology Associates of Charlotte (REACH), they started the fund there for other couples in similar situations who may not have the financial means to undergo treatments. Quite frequently medical insurance does not cover a majority of the costs associated with infertility treatments.

“After going through this process ourselves with Brexton, it made us realize the need in our own community to help couples who might not have the means to pay for the extensive costs of IVF treatments when that is their only hope to start a family,” said Kyle Busch. “Samantha and I feel very blessed to be in a position to be able to do something to help.”

“Since we started the Bundle of Joy Fund in 2015, we have been able to provide financial assistance to 17 couples resulting in 10 little miracles and more on the way,” said Samantha Busch. “Sunday kicks off National Infertility Awareness week, so Kyle and I wanted to do something special to bring attention to an issue many couples face, but sometimes don’t want to discuss. This is a way for us to give back to a cause very near and dear to our hearts.”

Applications for the “Kyle and Samantha Busch Bundle of Joy Fund” can be obtained through REACH in Charlotte and the fund is currently only available to patients of REACH who are residents of North Carolina.
